Members of the Byram Police Department brought lunch to Ms. Little’s kindergarten class at Gary Road Elementary School last Friday, spending time with students over pizza and conversation.
The department said building strong relationships with the community begins with young people. It said visits such as the lunch allow officers to interact with students in a positive setting and show that law enforcement is there not only to protect and serve, but also to support and encourage them.
The department thanked Ms. Little and Gary Road Elementary School for allowing officers to spend time with the kindergarten students.
