The Southaven Chamber of Commerce is promoting Tailgate on the Patio, a Business After Hours event scheduled for Thursday, October 8. The gathering will take place on the patio and is intended to bring Chamber members together for networking during football season.
Attendees are encouraged to connect with fellow Chamber members, make new business contacts and bring business cards. The announcement describes the event as a casual evening and invites participants to attend as they are.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
