BREAKING: Governor Reeves issues statewide mask mandate
Governor Reeves issued a statewide mask mandate at his press conference on Tuesday, along with a delay to school start in some counties.
Grades 7-12 delay in Bolivar, Coahoma, Forrest, George, Hinds, Panola, Sunflower and Washington will be delayed.
Masks must be worn in public throughout Mississippi for the next two weeks.
From Reeves:
After reviewing every school’s reopening plans, I am issuing an executive order delaying the start of some 7th-12th schools in hot spots. We are requiring masks in schools for teachers and students. We are also requiring masks at public gatherings statewide for two weeks—in a push to allow schools to safely reopen.
I respectfully request you approve the use of hydroxychloriquine for treatment of COVID. Numerous board certified physicians have posted great results while using the drug and other states have approved it.
