Dense fog persists across parts of southern Mississippi and may occur in central Louisiana through this morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Visibility could drop to less than a quarter mile at times. A dense fog advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. in southeast Mississippi.
Motorists are advised to slow down and allow extra travel time during the morning commute.
