Starkville police outline post-concert traffic plan for Zach Bryan show
Starkville Police Department on Facebook released a tentative traffic plan for the Zach Bryan concert scheduled Saturday, May 2. The department said a final update will be provided approximately one hour before the concert ends.
Traffic will follow the same routes used during football gamedays, the post said. The department warned there will be no access to Blackjack Road from Highway 12 or Locksley Way, and drivers should plan alternate routes.
Motorists are directed to detour via Poorhouse Road or use exits from the east side of campus to reach surrounding highways. The post said that includes anyone attempting to reach Highway 45.
The guidance is intended to reduce congestion and maintain safety as thousands of concertgoers and local traffic share roadways. The Starkville Police Department frequently issues similar plans for large events to manage traffic flow and emergency access.
Details remain tentative. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
