State AFL-CIO backs Pinkins for Secretary of State.

Ty Pinkins has accepted the nomination for Democratic candidate for Mississippi Secretary of State for the November 2023 ballot.

Young was challenging incumbent Republican Secretary of State Michael Watson in the November general election.

Ballots may be cast for the Aug. 8 primary election between 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Any voter in line at 7 p.m. is legally entitled to cast a ballot.

Safeguarding Mississippi elections has always been important to me, which is why I made it a priority in our 2019 campaign for Secretary of State.
