Ty Keys is 27 touchdowns away from breaking Mississippi’s all-time high school touchdown record, according to an update from Blake Levine Sports Reporter. Keys has 94 touchdowns and is pursuing Jason McNair of Mt. Olive, who holds the record with 120.
Keys has at most 11 games remaining this season. The number of touchdowns he would need to average per game ranges from 4.5 if he plays six more games, through 3.9 over seven games, 3.4 over eight, 3 over nine and 2.7 over 10. If he plays all 11 games, including the State Championship, he would need to average 2.5 touchdowns per game.
