Toppers fall to Loyola 96-66 in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS — Blue Mountain Christian lost to Loyola 96-66 on Thursday night in a Southern States Athletic Conference road game, the Toppers’ athletics department reported.

From the opening tip, Loyola seized early momentum on its home floor in a physical contest while Blue Mountain Christian pushed the tempo and competed possession by possession. The Toppers stayed engaged through the first half but could not overcome Loyola’s sustained offensive pressure in the second half.

Esrael Yant anchored Blue Mountain Christian with a double-double, finishing with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Michael Hill added 13 points, and RJ Robinson and Jonathan Baker each contributed 12 points, providing consistent scoring throughout the lineup.

Blue Mountain Christian will play its final regular-season game at William Carey on Saturday at 2 p.m. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
