Toppers fall 7-0 to Mobile at SSAC Roundup

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Blue Mountain Christian Universitys women’s tennis team fell 7-0 to the University of Mobile on Friday at the Southern States Athletic Conference Roundup, the school said.

Blue Mountain was unable to secure a point in doubles. Camila Mordiz and Eugenia Ramos lost on the top court, 6-3. Lina Cetina and Lucia Garcia dropped their match on court two, 6-3, and Nami Malyaporn and Kiersten Terris fell 6-2 on court three, the school said.

The Toppers continued to contend in singles against a strong Mobile lineup but were swept in straight sets. Mordiz lost on the No. 1 court, 6-4, 6-3. Cetina fell 6-1, 6-4, and Garcia was defeated 6-1, 6-0. Malyaporn dropped her match 6-2, 6-2, Ramos lost 6-0, 6-3, and Terris finished 6-0, 6-1, according to the release.

Blue Mountain will remain in Montgomery for additional conference matches as part of the SSAC Roundup and aims to build experience against league opponents, the school said. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
