Presley earns SSAC baseball player of week
MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Cody Presley, a junior third baseman for Blue Mountain Christian, earned Southern States Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week honors after a productive offensive week that helped the Toppers sweep Williams Baptist.
The conference named Presley its player of the week after he posted a .392 batting average during the four-game series. Presley hit three home runs in a single game and totaled eight RBIs for the week, providing both power and timely contact in key moments.
Blue Mountain Christian head coach Taylor Clark credited Presley’s preparation and competitiveness for the recognition. “Cody had an incredible week and was a big reason for our success,” Clark said. “He prepares the right way and competes every time he steps on the field. When he’s locked in, he brings a lot of confidence to our lineup, and this recognition is well deserved.”
The Southern States Athletic Conference is a collegiate league in the southeastern United States. Presley’s weekly honor highlights his role as a key contributor for the Toppers as the season progresses. This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
