Presley earns SSAC baseball player of week

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Blue Mountain Christian junior third baseman Cody Presley was named the Southern States Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week after a productive offensive stretch that helped the Toppers sweep a four-game series against Williams Baptist.

Presley hit .392 for the week, belted three home runs in a single game and drove in eight runs, according to a school release. His power and timely contact provided a spark in the middle of Blue Mountain Christian’s lineup as the team controlled the series.

Taylor Clark, head coach, credited Presley’s preparation and competitive approach for the performance. “Cody had an incredible week and was a big reason for our success,” Clark said. “He prepares the right way and competes every time he steps on the field. When he’s locked in, he brings a lot of confidence to our lineup, and this recognition is well deserved.”

The Southern States Athletic Conference is a collegiate athletic league that includes smaller colleges in the southeastern United States. Presley’s award highlights his continued role as a key contributor for the Toppers as the season progresses. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
