Presley earns second SSAC Baseball Player of Week
MONTGOMERY, Alabama — Cody Presley of Blue Mountain Christian was named SSAC Baseball Player of the Week for the second time this season after a dominant offensive stretch that helped the Toppers go 5–0.
Across five games, Presley hit .668 and slugged .750 while driving in eight runs. His production came during a doubleheader sweep of Crowley’s Ridge and a three-game sweep of Point University in BMCU’s first SSAC series of the year.
Head coach Taylor Clark praised Presley’s preparation and composure at the plate. “Cody has been locked in from day one this season,” Clark said. “His preparation, confidence, and ability to stay within himself at the plate set the tone for our lineup. He competes every at-bat and brings a calm presence that our team feeds off of.”
The honor underscores Presley’s role as a catalyst for the Toppers as conference play continues. The SSAC is a collegiate athletic conference that organizes competition among member schools; BMCU will resume conference play in coming weeks. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
