Opinion: Jeff Lebby starts 3-0 before five-game ranked stretch

Jeff Lebby is 3-0 this year, according to an opinion column by Blake Levine Sports Reporter, which says the coach has fewer visible flaws than last season.

The author wrote that he had been one of Lebby’s biggest critics and had doubted the coach could succeed long term. The column says Lebby had to win this year and that the early results have changed the author’s view.

Lebby now faces five straight ranked opponents in what the column describes as the toughest stretch of games in his young career. The author wrote that winning two or three of those games would be enough to become “completely sold.”

The column added that four wins in the stretch could lead to discussion of the College Football Playoffs.

Responding to claims that Zach Arnett and KaMario are responsible for the change, the author wrote that someone had to hire and recruit them. The column says Lebby recruited Arnett after Arnett had been fired by MSU and says KaMario supports Lebby.
