Life University tops Blue Mountain in SSAC basketball game

Marietta, Georgia — Life University defeated Blue Mountain College 86-68 in an SSAC men’s basketball game Saturday night at the Eagles’ Nest.

The game was fast-paced from the start, with both teams exchanging baskets early. Life took control in the first half, building a double-digit lead thanks to efficient shooting and a strong inside game. The Eagles maintained their advantage before halftime.

Blue Mountain fought back in the second half, attacking the rim and pushing the pace, but Life’s offensive execution kept them ahead throughout the period. The Toppers were led by Jonathan Baker, who scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds. Gavin Shannon added 15 points and four rebounds, while Michael Hill scored 13. Chris Carter provided a spark off the bench with 10 points.

Jalen Boyd-Savage dished out four assists, helping facilitate the Toppers’ offense. Blue Mountain will return to action next week, hosting the Thomas Nighthawks at Tyler Gymnasium. This is a developing story; more information will be provided as it becomes available.
