Kiffin cites atmosphere, late chances in LSU loss to Ole Miss

Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin pointed to the atmosphere surrounding LSU, missed late opportunities and repeated music through the snap as reasons involved in the team's loss to Ole Miss, according to comments reported by Blake Levine Sports Reporter.

Kiffin said the game carried the feel of LSU's Super Bowl, with the energy in the stadium and multiple chances to win at the end. He said the team needed to learn from the experience and finish.

He also asked how the result would be viewed if the opponent had a more traditional name and the game had been an early road trip to Ohio State for a first-year program. Kiffin described the hypothetical as a third game in which the team went to Ohio State and came all the way back.

Kiffin additionally cited music being played through the snap, including while the center's hand was on the ball, and said it happened repeatedly.
