Brookhaven remained undefeated with a 41-28 victory over Northwest Rankin, earning another win against a 7A school. The team is also known as Ole Brook.

A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
