Scammers posing as bond agents target Yazoo County inmates

YAZOO CITY, Miss. — Authorities warn residents about scam calls claiming to arrange inmate bonds at Yazoo County Regional Correctional Facility.

Officials urge the public not to share personal or financial information with anyone claiming they can secure an inmate’s release. Do not meet, send money, or provide details over the phone. These calls are scams, officials say.

The sheriff’s office encourages residents to share this warning to help protect others from fraud.
