Corinth police and Crime Stoppers of Northeast Mississippi are seeking information in a fatal shooting that occurred July 5. Officers responded around 9:53 p.m. to 1800 Bunch Street, where they found Darius Gaines dead from an apparent gunshot wound, police said.
Detectives are investigating and released a photo of a vehicle seen near the area prior to the shooting. They believe the vehicle is a 2024 or newer Hyundai Sonata.
Authorities ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-773-TIPS (8477) or submit an anonymous tip through the P3 Tip App. Crime Stoppers offers up to $2,000 for tips leading to an arrest. They emphasize that they only need your information, not your name.
Officials encourage sharing the attached QR code for the app to help solve the case.
