The Jackson Police Department assisted in the official reopening of Thalia Mara Hall, a prominent venue in the city, according to a Facebook post from the department.

A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
