Hinds County police seek help in 2020 missing person case

The Hinds County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public for help locating Jasmine Javonna Purvis, who has been missing since December 2020, according to authorities.

Purvis was last seen at Sylvia’s restaurant in Jackson, leaving with an unidentified Black male in a possible Black SUV. She is described as a Black woman, 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 185 pounds, with a medium brown complexion and short hair. She would now be 33 years old.

The department is investigating all leads and urges anyone with information to contact Central Mississippi Crime Stoppers. A reward of up to $2,500 is available for tips that lead to an arrest. To provide information, call 601-355-TIPS or submit tips online at p3tips.com.
