Capitol Police are asking for the public’s help in a fatal hit-and-run investigation. On November 17, 2024, at about 6:51 p.m., officers responded to Raymond Road near Valley Street, beneath the viaduct, after a crash was reported.
Officers found Cedric Jones lying motionless on the pavement. He was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he died on February 2, 2025.
