The Starkville Police Department has reported that missing teenager Kyle Phillips, now deceased, has been located.
The department released a statement Monday evening asking for assistance in locating Phillips. On Tuesday, he was found dead near Sudduth School.
An autopsy and death investigation will commence.

Tuesday evening, June 1, 2021, the Starkville Police Department located the remains of Kyle Phillips. He was found in an area behind Sudduth School near Evergreen Street.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Phillips family and all affected by the loss of Kyle.
We continue to conduct a death investigation.
WELFARE CONCERN
The Starkville Police Department requests your assistance locating Kyle Phillips (16). Phillips was last seen leaving Mae Street on foot Monday night, May 31st, at approximately 10:00pm. He is described as 5’6″, 150lbs last seen wearing a black jacket, gray pants and white and blue shoes. He may have a firearm in his possession. The Starkville Police Department and his family are concerned for his welfare.
