Senate Passes Biden’s $1.9 Trillion COVID-19 Relief Bill
The American people stand one step closer to receiving additional aid after the U.S. Senate passed President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief bill through on Saturday.
The bill passed on a straight party line of 50-49 as no Republicans voted in favor of the package they have called too expensive.
In this package, many different aids are included; however, the most notable among them are $1,400 checks to citizens and more funding directed towards vaccination efforts.
As of now, the bill will have to be passed back through the House of Representatives. However, it is a forgone conclusion it will pass, and the bill will reach Biden’s desk by the March 14 deadline.
