Reeves signs legislation banning ballot harvesting

Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves, on Wednesday, March 22, signed Senate Bill 2358, which bans ballot harvesting in Mississippi. 

The legislation stops political operatives from collecting and handling mass amounts of absentee ballots. The legislation further bolsters election integrity in Mississippi, according to a release from Gov. Reeves’ office announcing the bill signing. The House vote for passage was 73-44.

Reeves announced the signing of Senate Bill 2358 in a video posted to Facebook.
