Brooks to run for Legislature in House District 118
Career law enforcement officer and member of the Harrison County Republican Club Raymond Brooks released the following statement announcing his candidacy for State Representative in Mississippi’s 118th House district:
“I am proud to announce my candidacy to represent District 118 in the state House with a promise: If elected, I will do all that is within my power to combat inflation by abolishing the income tax, secure Mississippi’s elections by fighting for voter ID requirements, make term limits a reality for politicians in Jackson, and restore education by ending the radical left’s woke agenda in Mississippi’s classrooms.
“As a career law enforcement officer and a proven conservative fighter, I have dedicated my life to defending our Constitution and expanding parental rights in education – all while upholding the traditional values that our state holds dear.
“If elected, I will fight tirelessly to put Mississippi back on a prosperous path. I will fight to keep as much of your hard earned dollars in your wallet, instead of being taxed away. I will protect our elections and guarantee secure voting procedures for all Mississippians. And most importantly, I will work towards creating an educational system where our children can receive the quality education they deserve without having to worry about being taught woke ideology.
“I am ready and willing to take on this challenge and fight for you in Jackson. Together, we can make Mississippi strong again.”
