Waveland posts photos on Facebook

The City of Waveland, Mississippi, posted photos on its official Facebook page, the city said in the post. The images were made available to residents and the public via the social media account.

The Facebook post included only the photos and did not include additional details about timing or subject matter. Municipal social media accounts commonly serve as channels for information about services, community events, public works and notices to residents.

Waveland is a coastal city in Hancock County on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The city and the surrounding region have used digital platforms for public communication, particularly since the widespread recovery efforts that followed Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Residents interested in the photographs can visit the City of Waveland’s official Facebook page for more context. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
