Ridgeland begins Lake Harbour Drive overlay March 2
The city of Ridgeland will begin an overlay project on Lake Harbour Drive on Monday, March 2, city officials said. Work will take place between Christine Drive and Northpark Drive and is expected to take approximately six months to complete, the city said.
The project is aimed at improving roadway conditions and ensuring long-term safety and reliability on one of Ridgeland’s primary corridors, the city said. An overlay typically involves placing a new layer of asphalt or similar material over existing pavement to extend the road’s service life and improve surface conditions.
Officials said at least one lane of traffic will remain open at all times to minimize disruptions. Warning signs and detour signage will be clearly posted to assist drivers, and motorists should expect periodic changes to traffic patterns as work progresses.
The city said it will provide updates as the work continues and appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation during construction. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
