Organizers thank women after first 2026 self-defense class

Organizers said in a Facebook post that they thanked the women who attended their first women’s self-defense class of 2026 and encouraged people to join the next session on March 17.

The post did not name the sponsoring group or provide a location, but organizers said participants appeared engaged and left the event with new skills. Women’s self-defense classes typically focus on situational awareness, avoidance strategies and basic physical techniques designed to help people escape dangerous situations.

Training advocates say such classes aim to increase confidence and personal safety while building community connections. The events often draw a mix of beginners seeking practical skills and returning participants who want to refresh techniques and practice with partners.

Organizers invited anyone interested to attend the March 17 class and said they look forward to future sessions. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
