Lee County deputy visits Carver Elementary career expo
Deputy Morgan of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office spent time with students at Carver Elementary School during the school’s annual Career Expo, the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post.
The sheriff’s office posted on Facebook that “Deputy Morgan enjoyed spending time with students at Carver Elementary School this afternoon during their annual Career Expo. It was a great opportunity to connect with our future leaders, answer their questions, and encourage them as they explore their goals.”
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office, which provides law enforcement and community safety services in Lee County, Mississippi, often participates in school and community events to build relationships between officers and residents. Career expos give students a chance to learn about different occupations, ask questions and consider future paths.
Officials and educators say outreach events can strengthen trust, improve communication and inspire young people to explore public service careers. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
