Biloxi mayor pins police chief, assistant chief
The Biloxi Police Department said on its Facebook page that Mayor Andrew “FoFo” Gilich officially pinned Chief Christopher “Chris” De Back and Assistant Chief Grandver Everett during a ceremony at the Lopez-Quave Public Safety Center.
The department said the pinning ceremony recognizes the officers’ leadership and commitment to public service and marks a new chapter for the Biloxi Police Department. It said the event honored decades of experience, dedication and service to the Biloxi community.
The Biloxi Police Department is the municipal law enforcement agency that serves the coastal Mississippi city. Pinning ceremonies traditionally mark formal recognition of rank and responsibility and are intended to underscore accountability and leadership within local public safety organizations.
The department asked the public to join in congratulating De Back and Everett as they continue to lead with integrity, professionalism and pride, the post said. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
