Children’s of Mississippi earns Magnet recognition for nursing excellence
Children’s of Mississippi earned Magnet recognition, the highest national honor for nursing excellence, along with seven exemplars, the University of Mississippi Medical Center said in a Facebook post. UMMC said the recognition reflects years of hard work, innovation and a commitment to exceptional patient care.
Magnet recognition is awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and recognizes hospitals that demonstrate excellence in nursing practice, strong patient outcomes and adherence to professional standards. The designation is widely regarded within health care as a marker of nursing quality.
Children’s of Mississippi is the pediatric hospital operated by the University of Mississippi Medical Center. The Magnet designation can strengthen a hospital’s reputation, support efforts to recruit and retain skilled nurses, and signal high standards of care to patients and families.
