Wildlife, forestry groups hold joint meeting in Mississippi

The Mississippi Chapter of The Wildlife Society and the Society of American Foresters held a joint meeting from September 9 through 11, bringing together the two natural resource-focused organizations to share current research and discuss issues in their respective fields.

As part of the conference, attendees took part in a field trip on Hall Timberland property. The trip included discussions of prescribed fire research, white-tailed deer population management and active timberland management taking place across Mississippi.
