OSD said in a Facebook post at 11:15 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, that it will hold a regular school day on Friday, Jan. 23, and that AfterCare will be available as normal.
The update comes from OSD, the district that operates public schools in the area, which issues weather and schedule notices to families, staff and the community when conditions might affect operations.
Such notices aim to give parents, guardians and employees time to plan for travel, childcare and work schedules. Announcements about changes or cancellations are common in winter months when weather can affect transportation and building operations.
Families who rely on bus transportation or after-school programs should follow the district’s official communication channels for any last-minute changes. The district did not provide additional details in the post.
