The Union County Heritage Museum is inviting visitors to discover the history of railways in New Albany, Union County and beyond. The museum’s presentation encourages people to explore the role of trains in the local community.
The exhibit also takes a playful approach, inviting visitors to imagine themselves as conductors while learning about the area’s railway history.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
