The Southaven Chamber of Commerce will host SYP & Social, a networking gathering for young professionals 40 and under, at The Back Nine Golf in Southaven on September 22 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The event is intended to give attendees an opportunity to meet other young professionals, expand their networks and socialize outside the workplace. Members of Southaven Young Professionals are encouraged to bring a friend who is 40 or under.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
