Burned Body Discovery in Lawrence County Leads to Two Arrests
LAWRENCE COUNTY, Miss. – A burned body found in the Silver Creek area Tuesday morning has led to the arrest of two suspects in a multi-agency investigation.
Lawrence County Sheriff Ryan Everett said deputies responded to the scene around 7:30 a.m. on August 5. The Mississippi State Fire Marshal’s Office, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, Lawrence County Coroner’s Office, McComb Police Department, and the 14th and 15th District Attorney’s Offices also assisted.
Authorities arrested Timothy LaShun Hathorn of Brookhaven shortly after midnight on August 6, and Ryan Elizabeth Tobias, 39, in Fernwood on Friday morning.
Investigators have sent DNA evidence to the Mississippi State Crime Lab to confirm whether the remains are those of missing McComb man Reggie Bridges.
