Mississippi faces risk of severe storms, tornadoes and flooding this weekend

Mississippi faces a slight risk of severe storms Friday and early Saturday, according to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.

The agency warns of possible damaging wind gusts, tornadoes and flash flooding across much of the state.

Residents are urged to stay weather aware and follow safety advice, including the rule to turn around if floodwaters are present.
