Toppers topple ABAC in high-scoring Senior Night win

Blue Mountain Christian University beat Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College 113-91 at Tyler Gymnasium in Blue Mountain, Mississippi, on Senior Night, the school’s athletics department said.

The Toppers turned the evening into an offensive showcase, sharing the ball, attacking gaps and converting open looks to build and sustain momentum. Blue Mountain used multiple scoring runs and defensive activity that generated transition chances, forcing ABAC to chase for much of the game, the athletic department said.

Gavin Shannon led Blue Mountain with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Michael Hill added 23 points and Esrael Yant scored 20. Kam Carter finished with 12 points and seven assists, Jalen Boyd-Savage knocked down four 3-pointers en route to 12 points, and RJ Robinson had 10 points, the athletic department said.

The balanced scoring and cohesion on Senior Night allowed the Toppers to close their home slate with a decisive victory. Blue Mountain Christian is scheduled to play at Loyola University (La.) on Feb. 19, the athletic department said. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
