Toppers sweep Point in three games to start SSAC play
Blue Mountain Christian University opened SSAC play with a three-game sweep of Point, the school reported Saturday in Blue Mountain, Mississippi.
The Toppers won the first game of a doubleheader 10–3 at the BMCU Sportsplex and returned later in the day to secure an 8–2 victory in the nightcap, the university said. The school added the series results gave Blue Mountain a 3-0 edge over Point to begin conference play.
Blue Mountain Christian University said the wins showcased timely hitting up and down the lineup and strong work on the mound. The victories come as the Southern States Athletic Conference schedule begins, a stretch that will help shape conference standings and postseason positioning.
