Toppers open 2026 with doubleheader sweep of Stillman
Tuscaloosa, Ala. — Blue Mountain Christian opened its 2026 softball season with a doubleheader sweep of Stillman on Friday, winning the opening game 8-1, according to the school’s athletics department.
The release said the Toppers set the tone early, building momentum at the plate and supporting it with a steady performance in the circle to control the flow from start to finish in the first game of the twinbill.
Season openers and early-season tournaments often serve as a barometer for roster depth and pitching staff readiness, and a sweep in a doubleheader can provide an immediate boost to team confidence as coaches assess lineups and rotations for the weeks ahead. Blue Mountain Christian fields a collegiate softball program that will use the early games to prepare for the remainder of the 2026 schedule.
Details on the second game’s score and additional statistics were not included in the original release. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
