Toppers fall to Loyola, 96-66

NEW ORLEANS — Blue Mountain Christian University fell to Loyola 96-66 on Thursday night in a Southern States Athletic Conference road game, the school said.

From the opening tip the Toppers pushed the tempo and competed for possessions, but Loyola built early momentum on its home floor and sustained offensive pressure into the second half.

Esrael Yant anchored Blue Mountain Christian with a double-double, finishing with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Michael Hill added 13 points, while RJ Robinson and Jonathan Baker contributed 12 points each as the Toppers spread scoring across the lineup.

Blue Mountain Christian will play its final regular-season game Saturday at William Carey University in Mississippi, with tipoff scheduled for 2 p.m., the release said.
