Life University defeated Blue Mountain Christian 89-63 in an SSAC matchup at Tyler Gymnasium in Blue Mountain, Mississippi. The Running Eagles built a lead with consistent scoring and held control late in the game.
Both teams played with intensity from the opening tip, exchanging early baskets and defensive stops before Life began to separate itself with sustained offensive balance. The Toppers executed intelligently on offense and attacked the rim in the opening minutes.
Gavin Shannon led Blue Mountain Christian with 21 points and two steals, providing steady leadership on both ends of the floor. Jonathan Baker scored 15 points, including three three-pointers, while Michael Hill added 12 points and Esrael Yant finished with 10 points and four rebounds. The Toppers received contributions across the lineup and maintained consistent ball movement.
Life maintained control through the second half behind balanced scoring, and Blue Mountain Christian continued to compete on every possession. Blue Mountain Christian will travel to Tuscaloosa to take on Stillman College on Tuesday night. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
