TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Blue Mountain Christian opened the 2026 softball season Friday with an 8-1 victory over Stillman College in the opening game of a scheduled doubleheader, the school said.
The Toppers set the tone early, building momentum at the plate while backing it up with a steady performance in the circle to control the flow of the game from start to finish, Blue Mountain Christian said.
Season openers and early-season doubleheaders give coaches a chance to evaluate their rosters and establish pitching rotations and lineup roles. For college programs, a convincing first game can provide confidence and momentum heading into the rest of the schedule.
