Former Jackson County Inventory Control Director Arrested on Fraud Charges

JACKSON, Miss. — The Mississippi Office of the State Auditor announced the arrest of Nancy Anglada, the former Jackson County inventory control director, on fraud allegations, according to a news release.

Special agents arrested Anglada after accusing her of submitting false training reimbursement claims and using a county Fuelman card for personal vehicle fueling. The Fuelman card was allegedly used multiple times to fill her personal vehicle.

Officials also allege Anglada falsely claimed she paid for training sessions to obtain reimbursements from Jackson County. She faces possible fines of up to $5,000 and 20 years in prison.

State Auditor Shad White emphasized that the office maintains a zero-tolerance policy for taxpayer theft and will continue collaborating with prosecutors to pursue record results. The release notes that all individuals arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
