The Tupelo Police Department will observe a Moment of Silence at 9 a.m. December 23 in the Gale Stauffer Community Room, honoring Sgt. Gale Stauffer, who was killed in the line of duty on that date in 2013.
The department invites residents to pause wherever they are at 9 a.m. to remember Sgt. Stauffer, his sacrifice, and his family.
The event is part of the department’s annual remembrance.
