The Pike County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Austin K. Miller, the suspect in a fatal hit-and-run, is now in custody, according to Sheriff Wally Jones.
Authorities responded to a vehicle crash on December 3, 2025, on Dunaway Road near McComb, Mississippi, where Shelby Brent was killed after the driver fled the scene. Investigators identified Miller as the driver.
Miller, 29, is described as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds. He was driving a blue 2010 Hyundai Accent with Mississippi license plate PJM 124.
Investigators urge anyone with information about Miller’s whereabouts or contact with him to call Pike County Crimestoppers at 888-755-8810. A cash reward is offered for tips leading to his arrest.
