The Pike County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that suspect Austin K. Miller has been taken into custody, according to Sheriff Wally Jones.
Authorities issued a cash reward for information leading to his arrest. Miller, 29, is wanted in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that occurred on December 3 in McComb, Mississippi.
Deputies responded to a vehicle crash on Dunaway Road, where Shelby Brent was killed after the driver fled the scene. Investigators identified Miller as the suspect and believe he was driving a blue 2010 Hyundai Accent with Mississippi license plate PJM 124. His current whereabouts are unknown.
