Pike County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Help for Abandoned Dogs and Puppies

The Pike County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in caring for a mother dog and seven puppies found this morning. The animals, estimated to be three weeks old, were part of a neglect case. The suspect involved is in custody.

The sheriff’s office is seeking foster homes, rescue placement, or adoption support to ensure the animals receive proper care and loving homes. Anyone able to help or who knows organizations that can assist is asked to contact the Pike County Sheriff’s Office at (601) 783-6767.

Officials emphasize that community support can make a difference for animals that cannot speak for themselves, according to the sheriff’s office public relations department.
