Capitol Police welcome new Crime Scene Unit members

The U.S. Capitol Police announced on Facebook that Morgen Helm, Jesse Van Fleet, Jordan Broome and Dannilky Castillo have joined the department’s Crime Scene Unit.

The department said the new members bring dedication, attention to detail and a commitment to the mission. The Crime Scene Unit is responsible for processing scenes, collecting and preserving evidence, and supporting investigations that help protect the Capitol complex and those who work there.

Crime scene technicians play a key role in law enforcement by documenting scenes, maintaining chain of custody for evidence and assisting prosecutors and investigators. The addition of new personnel can help the unit manage caseloads, respond to incidents more quickly and maintain investigative standards during high-profile events or emergencies.

The U.S. Capitol Police thanked the new members for joining the team and expressed pride in their service. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
