Trump Ending COVID-19 Relief Talks Until After November Election
President Donald Trump dropped major news in his first full day at the White House since returning from Walter Reed Military Medical Center when he announced on Twitter Tuesday that he had informed his aids to no longer negotiate with Democrats on a second round of federal relief from the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Trump, he claimed that House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi is not “negotiating in good faith,” and is only trying to help bail out “poorly-ran Democratic states.”
President Trump also stated he has asked Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to focus fully on the approval of his “outstanding” Supreme Court nominee, Amy Coney Barrett.
